Ruby Wing Strawberry Shortcake - review

Finalmente vi mostro il mio tanto desiderato "Strawberry Shortcake" di Ruby Wing, uno spettacolare smalto che cambia colore con i raggi UV. Avete capito bene, non il classico e ormai ben noto colore che cambia con la temperatura, ma uno che si tramuta in un altro alla luce del sole.

I'm finally showing you my long desired "Strawberry Shortcake" by Ruby Wing, an amazing UV light colour changing nail polish. Yes, you read it perfectly, it's not the classical and well-known thermal polish. It's a colour that changes with sunlight.

Iniziamo col fatto che questo smalto profuma, sì, PROFUMA DI FRAGOLA! Il nome e la targhetta con scritto "scented" avrebbero dovuto prepararmi alla cosa, ma vi giuro che in quel momento non ci ho fatto caso. Fatto sta che, mentre stendevo il primo strato, ho iniziato a sentire questo profumo delizioso e sono andata in estasi quando ho realizzato che proveniva dal mio smalto. Dopo la terza passata, raggiunta la coprenza adeguata, ho provato a stendere un top coat e... miracolo! Il profumo si sentiva ancora! Inutile dirvi che ho passato i giorni successivi a sniffarmi le unghie come una drogata :P

Let's start by saying that this nail polish is scented, yes, STRAWBERRY-SCENTED! The name and the "scented" written on the label should have warned me about it but I swear I didn't notice them at first. The fact is that while I was layering the first coat, I started smelling this delicious scent and went in a state of pure delight when I realized that it was coming from my nail polish. After three coats, I tried to put a top coat on and... miracle! I could still smell the scent! It's useless telling you that I spent the following days sniffing my nails like a junkie :P

"Strawberry Shortcake" è composto da glitter dorati e olografici, immersi in una base che in completa assenza di raggi UV risulta trasparente.

"Strawberry Shortcake" is made of golden and holo glitters in a clear base (in complete absence of UV rays)

Quando viene esposto alla luce del sole, lo smalto inizia a cambiare e la base da trasparente si fa rosata.

When exposed to sunlight the nail polish starts to change and the clear base starts to turn pink.

Signore e signori, ecco a voi LA MAGIA! "Strawberry Shortcake" è finalmente diventato un bellissimo smalto color rosso fragola dai riflessi multicolore. Ruby Wing ha creato uno degli smalti più belli che avessi mai visto! E non è finita qui. Io e Giuliè prossimamente vi mostreremo anche gli altri colori in nostro possesso... non perdeteveli! ;)
